Spells, Runes, and Transmutaions

Page history last edited by Dylan Watts 2 years, 8 months ago

This page will give full detail on the creation of unique spells, runes, and transmutations.

The Difference -

     Spells -

Most effective "On the fly" type of magic damage

          Usually more expensive MP cost

     Runes -

          Mainly trap based magic casting

          Low MP cost

          Higher Ini cost

     Transmutaions -

Deadly if made in combat (ment to be made before battles)

          Unlimited use

          Recharges quickly

          Low MP capabilities

Only usable on spells of that type

Spell Generator

Equation (Ini has NOT been factored in yet)

Range + Average Damage + Possible Additional Damage - Possible Subtracted Damage + AOE/Arc Blast/Length = MP Cost

     Range -

          1:1 Inch per MP.

Determines the maximum distance the spell can be cast from.

     Avarage Damage -

A set value that is the base damage of the spell.

     Possible Additional Damage -

A value of additional damage base on the following equation -

Lowest Roll Possible x Number of Die x Two ÷ Highest Roll Possible = MP cost of Possible Additional Damage (rounded)

The Roll on the die is the Additional Damage done.

     Possible Subtraction Roll -

A value of subtracted damage base on the following equation -

                    - (Lowest Roll Possible x Number of Die x Two ÷ Highest Roll Possible) = MP cost of Possible Additional Damage (rounded)

The Roll on the die is the Subtracted Damage done.

     Aoe -

Size of the AOE is measured in half inch Radians (R), 1R = one inch diameter.

The MP cost of Substantial Elements AOE attack will have the AOE cost Squared.

Those effected by Insubstantial Elements in an AOE will take the final damage roll divided by the number of R from the center, rounded to nearest R, before applying resistance.

     Arc Blast -

Length of the Arc Blast is measured in  half inch Radians (R), 1R = one inch diameter, and is multiplied by 2 for MP cost.

To illustrate how the Arc Blast is measured, you measure the range from the center of the piece and draw an arc that is equal to 15 multiplied by the designated R and ÷ by the Range (should be in inches) to give the angular distance in degrees.

     Length -

Length is measured in 1/2 inches, and cost 2 for every unit.

The Length is an additional extention to a spell that can be directed in any direction and that the spell will hit.
